Over the last few days, I’ve been using the Public Health England daily dataset on the incidence of coronavirus in the UK. The dataset contains the number of cases confirmed each day in each of the Upper Tier Local Authorities (UTLAs) and NHS regions in England. It also includes similar summary level statistics for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It also includes the number of deaths each day at country level.
I was interested to explore the rates of growth of cases in different parts of the UK relative to others. For example, I wanted to see whether the rate of growth in my own UTLA was greater or less than the growth rate in England as a whole. I’ve built the following report to allow me to explore this.
